MagPed

The magped safety bike pedal is a true innovation for mountain bikes and e-bikes. Our patented magnet mechanism enables you to quickly and easily release your foot from the pedal. Compared to standard clip-in pedals, the risk of crash and injury will be significantly reduced – so you can focus on your ride without fear of being clipped in and falling over.

Enhanced Performance

The magped pedal ensures a continuous circular motion by employing your extensor muscles (70%) and your flexor muscles (30%) for maximum riding performance. You will feel the difference - especially on longer rides.

Weight

The magped pedal is a modern high quality flat pedal made from light CNC cut aluminium with a CrMo spindle. The weight including our patented magnetic system is only 452 grams (100N magnet) or 474 grams (150N magnet) per pair.

Positioning

The pedal allows your foot several degrees of twist which will put less strain on your ankles during your ride. In addition, the foot position can be varied to the front or back without a loss of pulling force for an ideal position on your ascent and your descent.

Pulling Force

Depending on your choice of pedal, the magnet will provide you with up to 15 kg in pulling force. The magnet force is primarily vertical, which allows you to effortlessly release by simply moving your foot sideways. However, even in more critical situations the magnet force can be overcome by pulling your foot up in a vertical direction.

Shoe Plate

The shoe plate is made of anti-corrosion treated steel and it is compatible with all SPD bike shoes. The shoe plate can easily be mounted within minutes with 2 screws. Compared to other systems, the magped pedal is resistant to dirt. Additionally the “walkability” of your bike shoe will be significantly improved.

Technology

The magped pedal is equipped with 3 sealed high quality industrial type bearings. Pins can be exchanged if required. The high performance neodymium magnet is adjustable by means of an integrated polymer damper unit.
